Tuesday, July 5

Love that Bumbo. He still needs help with his head. But he is so strong.

Mom and I went to Party City. There were these night lights that make animal noises. Henry was laughing hysterical but of course when I started filming he stopped. Still thought the videos were kinda funny.

Wednesday, July 6

We had our Taco Tuesday on Wednesday and Henry flipped over for the first time officially!!! We all saw it and caught it on camera. Vanessa caught the first flip and all of our reactions. But this video was later that night and I finally got it on my phone. 

It was amazing to see him do it. I felt so bad because Ryan was working that night and missed it. I guess those things happen. It just made me think about how much I just don't want to miss a thing that he does. 

Thursday, July 7

Henry had his 2 month doctors appointment today. I completely forgot that he was getting shots this visit until that day. Oh my it was a rough day. First the good news, Henry was 12lbs 9oz. and 25.5 in. long. He is in the 50th percentile in weight and 99th in length. The Dr. said his length is average for a 5.5 month old. He is a growing boy!!

Then he got his shots and his scream was so loud and high. I felt like a terrible mother. He calmed down right away after I picked him up. Then later that night he starting screaming again all night long. I felt horrible. I think he was just not feeling well. I basically nursed him all night it was the only thing that brought him comfort. He finally just slept the rest of the night away.

I was not prepared for all of that. I will be prepared at four months. I was really nervous about the shots and wanted to be a lot more informed before going in to the doctors. And I totally failed. I read about all the shots prior to the Dr. visit and all the books I have suggested the same shots at this time. But I just wanted to have a better understanding. But now its done and I feel good about our conversation with our Dr. about the timing. Hopefully we made the right decision.

Friday, July 8

Uncle Erick was in town for work and came to hang out with us for the day. His beard is getting out of control. It was a fun afternoon at Jazz in the Park with the family and the neighbors again.

Sunday, July 10

Henry and I go on walks all the time. Here he is in his big seat in his stroller.

Mommy's Major Hunk
