Mammoth Weekend

February 25th - 28th

We made our first road trip to Mammoth. Our friends he Griggs have a place up there and they invited us for the weekend. It was Henry's first long road trip and snow trip. It was Ryan and I's first trip to Mammoth and skiing/snowboarding. It was a great weekend. Paxton and Kim were up there too, for Paxton's birthday bash. The trip up went really well. We tried to time it with Henry's sleep schedule and he slept the whole time. We didn't get there till almost 2AM.

The first day Ryan and Morgan hit the slopes and Ry tried snowboarding for the first time. Of course he got it down within the first few times. Later Kristin and I went skiing, my first time too. I briefly thought I was going to die. But I made it down very slowly. We decided to just drink after that... I think that might be my new favorite hobby, drinking outside in the mountains.

Henry's Snow Gear

That whole night it snowed. When we woke up snow covered everything. And of course Ryan went snowboarding pretty much the whole day. He stopped to have lunch with us and play with Hank in the snow for a little bit. We went out for Sushi that night and Ryan thought Henry should try a bit of tuna. Well he survived.

We packed up and left on Tuesday. Henry did really good again. He slept for most of the time and rest I hung out in the back with him. It was a really great trip. Ryan found a new passion. I guess I did too?!?! And we both decided that we need to go play in the snow as a family more often.
