The Month of January

It has been a little while so this post is going to be really long because so many things happened this month. But there are lots of great pictures to see.....

Just after the New Year we were able to catch up with an old friend from High School Mona and Tess came home from China for the holidays. Here are some pics from our visit.

Yes his shirt is HUGE!

I swear Tess likes him....

We were the three amigos in High School...we are just missing our friend Mary!
Jan. 3 - So Henry has discovered the rest of the house now. He loves to venture into the other rooms crawling as fast as he can hoping that mom or dad don't find him. He also loves the TV remote and slides it along with him. It's like a ski and makes him go so much quicker.

Jan 8th - Henry and I just having a good ol' time. His laugh is probably the best noise ever!

Jan 9 - Broccoli Face

Jan 12 - Love my Tonka Truck. Henry got this from Michelle and Billy (Ryan's Step Sister). It's awesome. The first night Henry got it he started walking and pushing it along.

Jan 14 - We had Randi's Baby Shower. The theme was orange and pink. I of course took no pictures. Thankfully Randi sent me a few. But I'll have to post more of the decorations once I get those pics too. It was a really fun day. Randi got lots of cute girly things. I made the letters behind us in the pics. They are mad with all of Randi's fabrics for Addi's room. Now they are hanging above her crib. I will have to post pics of her room too. It's super cute and Mom made all the goodies in her room too. Randi's good friends Des and Kari threw the party with Mom and I. They did such an amazing job, they are really great friends to Rands. Alyssa (my sister in law) made all the sweets, cupcakes and cake balls. She is amazing at it.

Prom pose!

Jan 15 - Because of Randi's shower the Reaney's and the Sobczyk's stayed in town. We all had breakfast the next day and hung out at our place just for a bit. Roger took this pic of Hank... so cute.

Kayla and Hank playing in his cop car. He's already a hit with the ladies...

Jan 16 - Henry loves Ryan's real football. We roll it to him and he picks it up or stands up with it. He gets so excited when it's coming his way. We also play catch with him so he feel like he's catching it and he flaps his arms around like a crazy man - so excited! Could this be a sign of what's to come?...

Jan 20 - Well we got a little (and I mean LITTLE) surprise on the 20th. Miss Addilynn decided she was ready to come out. She was born at 5.05pm and was only 4lbs. Randi went into labor a week earlier than her schedule c-section. Addi had to go into the NICU right away cause she was so small, so early and a little sick. The doctors discovered later that she was more like 36 weeks than 38 weeks like we thought. So she was a month early. But she was really small even for a month early. But not to worry this story has a very happy ending....

Welcome to the world Addi Girl!

Jan 21 - In November I lost a dear friend and colleague of mine Dean Hyry. He was my boss since I started at Four Seasons. He was from Hawaii and they had a service there shortly after his passing. But we weren't able to have a service here in California till now. The service was at the Four Seasons and there were so many old friends and colleagues there. It was nice to see so many people gather because of their affection for Dean. He was an amazing friend and mentor of mine. I miss him everyday but the memories of him are so great and so full of life that it makes missing him a bit easier. We all have so many funny stories about him. I wish I could share them all with you. It ended up being a good day, we all needed a bit of closure and it most certainly helped.

After the service we went out to eat with a big group from work. There was a mariachi band playing and Henry was hysterical watching them.

Jan 22 - More pictures of Addi. She started really doing so better so quickly. She has a ton of hair! None of us got to see Addi so all we had were these pics to see her little face. Randi and Addison did an amazing job staying calm and focused on the health of Addi. They were very positive and really kept their cool though out the whole process. I'm not sure I could have done as well as they did.

Jan 23 - Henry has this ball machine that blows air out the top. Ryan positioned toward Henry and this is the result.....ridiculous.

Henry turned 9 months old! Can you believe it. These pics aren't as great as in the past but you can really see how big he is getting. We just went to the doctors and he was 19lbs and 30.5inches long. He is really long and skinny.

This is his famous.."I'm really excited" dance.

Jan 24 - Baby Addi says Hi.

Jan 25 - Addi Girl and her stylish hair.

This picture really shows how little she is.

Jan 27 - Henry and I had a great day! We went to Birch Aquarium to see the fishes. He really liked all the colors and the movement. They have this huge tank that is floor to ceiling and Henry could stand in front of it. I got so many cute pictures of him looking at the fishes. It was a beautiful day also we had lunch outside together. I can't wait to keep doing these types of things with Hank. I have been looking forward to when he is old enough to really enjoy and understand these types of trips. He is still a little young but it won't be long before we can go to museums and parks and he will enjoy them.

Doesn't it look like he and fish are looking at each other?

Shark Diving

This is Henry on the way home. He has started sleeping with his arm on his head.  This is very Opeka of him.

Jan 28 - Toast!

More of Baby Addi.

How sweet are my boys. I wish i could have captured this about two seconds before. Because Henry was so sweet just sitting there watching cars go by. And then he saw me and started wiggling.

Jan 29 - Today was a great day. Addi got to come home. My parents met the at the hospital and Henry and I set up a little welcome banner. We all finally got to see and hold her. OMG she is so small. I can't even explain it....it's not possible to put it into words how small she is. She was just a little fighter though and fought hard to get home quickly. She is the cutest little baby girl and so sweet. Her cry is so soft and sweet you almost don't want to stop. And her hair is adorable, very stylish. She looks just like Addison but obviously lighter but she does have a little of Randi in there too.

I am so glad she is home and healthy. I'm an AUNTIE now...and probably going to be her favorite. I mean I have had really good aunt modeling so I am pretty sure I've got this. I can't wait to share more about little Addi. Randi has a blog for her too but you might see more of her on mine for a little while since Randi's a little busy.  http://babyaddievans.blogspot.com/

Henry had to do the swings before they arrived. It was too nice of a day.

Okay so that's been our January. Very busy, good news all around and lots of fun. Much more to come this year should be an amazing one. I can't wait to see what's in store for Henry and now our little Addi girl.
