Thanksgiving Week

For Thanksgiving Ryan, Henry and I went to Nebraska to visit with my Dad's family. We flew out on Tuesday. Henry did really well on the flight out there. As you can imagine there were like 8 babies on the flights out there because of the holidays.

We flew into Omaha and stayed the first night with my Aunt Leigh. Then the following day we met Grandma and Grandpa at this small town outside of Lincoln for their famous pork sandwich. We headed to the University for a look around after lunch. It was hysterical just because poor Henry was put in every hat imaginable. He was a trooper....or a corn head.

Thanksgiving Day the whole family met at a church in Lincoln where we took it over for our dinner. Everyone in the family brought something for the dinner to share. There was all of my dad's sisters and all of their kids and all of their kids. There were only 3 cousins and their families that were not there. It was a big group. There were lots and lots of kids. It was really fun. There were about a million other photos from that day but of course I didn't take any of them. I'll post more once I get them.

Henry took some hysterical pictures with Grandma Bette. Look at how much fun they were having.

Now this is a funny story. Ryan found this stick in Grandpa's house and he just had to know what it was. Grandpa had no idea what it was as it was a gift from his sister. So that night he decided to call his sister to see if she remembered. And she didn't. So we took a picture and emailed it to her. She called back to tell us what it is... any guesses????

It's a cane for old men and the hole is for, well,  you can only imagine.....
Friday was game day. Nebraska vs. Iowa. It was a big game. We tried to buy tickets but they were very expensive. So a group of us went downtown to the big hotel there and they had banquet rooms with the game playing. We got a big table and we could sit and watch the whole game. It was perfect 1) because it was warm but we could eat and drink and sit without being crammed with a whole bunch of other people.  Nebraska Won!!!
