It began with these two little girls. Our parents met each other in birthing class and became fast friends. Our moms went into labor at the same time and had us at the same hospital in Fullerton. Rachelle was born November 13th and I on November 14th. We have been sisters ever since that fateful day.
Our families grew up together. All of our family vacation memories include the Brown's and the Reaney's. We were a perfect match. Rachelle and I grew up in different parts of California but we also shared our birthdays and summer vacations together.
Eventually we grew up and Rachelle met Matthew Sobczyk. They were high school sweethearts. They were together 9 years before they finally tied the knot. And thank god they did because that is when my life truly changed forever.
Rachelle and Matt were married August 26, 2006. That was the day I met Ryan Opeka. We walked down the aisle together (not for the last time) and from that moment we were inseparable. The entire night we were by each others side. The timing couldn't have been better for both of us. That night was followed by a meeting half way between Riverside and Carlsbad, at the famous pizza place. From that night on we were going back and forth between my parent's house and his mom's house every weekend, any chance we could get to be with each other.
It was a fast romance. We moved in together after only 2 months of knowing one another. But somehow we just knew that this was the right move. We first lived in Ladera Ranch for one year. Each of us traveling back and forth to our jobs. Ryan to West Covina and me to Carlsbad. Ryan soon made the leap and got a job in Carlsbad. We lived in San Marcos for another few months.
Our first baby and love is Winston. Ryan gave him to me for Christmas.
Then Ryan popped the question in December of 2007. I of course said yes and that began our year long stay at my parent's home. (To save money of course.)
Our wedding was a beautiful day full of so many beautiful moments and memories. The best day (until now) that I have ever had!
We bought a home soon after, May 5, 2009, in Oceanside and completely redid the inside. That took us about 4 months of long, back-breaking labor but well worth it.
We added to the clan recently by getting Clementine. We thought little man (Winston) could use a friend. She's a hand full but a love bug. So we are keeping her for now.
